Primary School Spaces Funding

Having the right place to play sport and be physically active as a child is vital and £18 million of National Lottery funding is now being invested to improve primary school Physical Education (PE), sport and activity facilities.

The Primary Spaces fund, which will help more schools create sports spaces and schools could receive up to £30,000 to spend on helping to provide outdoor multi-sport areas. As well as helping provide sports facilities, the funding can be used for recruiting and developing staff and volunteers at the school.

Priority will be given to those primary schools which currently have little or no outside space which can be used for P.E. or sports sessions.
