Paignton Academy U14s kicked off their ESFA National Cup campaign with an emphatic 5-1 away victory in Round 1 against Teignmouth College.

The current South Devon champions went ahead early when Dejay Bolton tapped home following an excellent team move and they extended their lead midway through the first half as Ryan McCaskill volleyed home from 12 yards.

A long range screamer from Hugo Griffiths made it 3-0 and Dejay Bolton broke through to add a fourth, before Teignmouth recorded a consolation goal with a well-taken free-kick.

So Paignton continue their impressive form from last season and now look forward to a Second Round clash with Churston Ferrers Grammar School.

The ESFA would like to congratulate Paignton Academy on their win in this first round of the PlayStation Schools’ Cup and also thank Teignmouth Community School for their participation in the U14 Schools’ competition this season - best of luck in your other competitions!
