Rickmansworth School gunning for glory as Alex Iwobi pays a visit

Last season the former Arsenal academy star supported the PlayStation Schools Cup Festival; the appearance was so well-received that Alex Iwobi was willing once again to lend his support, this time around however it was at a Tie of The Round Event at Rickmansworth School to the delight of the surprised pupils.
Iwobi, who has begun the Premier League season as an established first team regular and whose personable approach was felt across the school as excited pupils got the chance to quiz the Arsenal winger during the player pupil Q&A, was bringing wide smiles to the faces of the Arsenal fans in attendance. Alex Iwobi humorously named his Arsenal teammate Kieron Gibbs as the only person who would have a chance at beating him at FIFA 17.
As an avid Snapchat user, Alex Iwobi hosted a snapchat takeover on the PlayStation Schools’ Cup account throughout the day. Alex along with a number of pupils recreated the Mannequin Challenge, a topical craze that is currently sweeping its way through professional football teams around the globe. Rickmansworth School played host to Parmiter’s School (Year 10) in a specially arranged PlayStation Schools’ Cup fixture where Alex Iwobi was introduced to both teams before jumping into a team photograph. Alex was also challenged to recreate a classic piece of skill from his uncle Jay Jay Okocha involving YouTubers ChrisMD and Manny who themselves proved hugely popular with the pupils at Rickmansworth. Rickmansworth’s Sports Hall was converted into a PS4 gaming zone for the day, marking the perfect reward for pupils doing well in class. Pupil and avid Arsenal fan Harrison Flesch was picked by the school to get the chance of a lifetime when he had a match against Alex Iwobi on the popular FIFA 17 game.
