Burton Albion FC, the venue for tonight's Centenary Shield match
All seats have been sold out for the final game of this season’s Centenary Shield campaign, between England and Republic of Ireland at Burton Albion tonight (30 April).
The match, which kicks-off at 7.40 pm, still has tickets available for standing areas of the ground though. Prices at £3 adults and £1 concessions – turnstiles will be in operation for a walk in gate.
Burton Schools’ FA are kindly organising the event on behalf of the English Schools’ FA and they are expecting a carnival atmosphere and an exciting finale to this competition. The situation is beautifully poised with England just needing to avoid defeat and Republic of Ireland require a win to decide who will be crowned champions for 2010.
Josh Hart, the England Goalkeeper will not be available due to illness. Jamie Banasco-Zaragoza has been called into the squad to replace him.
Sky Sports will once again be televising the event, which will be aired on Sky Sports 4.
