Lancashire CSFA v Essex CSFA

KO: 1pm (U14) and 4pm (U16)
The ESFA would like to congratulate Lancashire CSFA and Essex CSFA Under 14 and Under 16 girls' squads on making it through to the PlayStation and ESFA National Finals and Northampton Town FC tomorrow, 6th May!
The teams have played through various rounds on their route to the prestigious National Finals and have the bonus of a whole squad of spectators to cheer on their other CSFA team mates!
Lancashire CSFA U14 Girls
Lancs' U14 team have played through four rounds to make it to this year's finals. The squad beat South Yorkshire CSFA 6-1 in the quarter final and took their place in the final with a 3-0 defeat against Merseyside CSFA in the semis.
Essex CSFA U14 Girls
Playing through the same four rounds, the quarter finals saw the U14 team from Essex beat Surrey CSFA 3-1 with the girls going on to an excellent semi final win of 5-1 against Bedfordshire CSFA.
Lancashire CSFA U16 Girls
The Lancs' U16 team played in the National Quarter Finals after qualifying in the Northern Counties Schools' FA Competition. The following 2 rounds saw Lancs beat Nottingham CSFA 1-0, with a 4-2 win against Cheshire CSFA bringing the girls to tomorrow's National Final.
Essex CSFA U16 Girls
The Essex U16 team made it to the National Quarter Finals after qualifying via the South East England Schools' FA Competition. Their quarter final win, 3-0 against Hampshire saw the team reach the semi finals, qualifying for the National Finals with a 1-1 draw against Somerset CSFA, sealing the deal with a 1-0 win on penalties.
We would like to wish all four teams taking part tomorrow the best of luck in their matches. All teams reaching National Finals have worked incredibly hard to get to this stage and we hope that our final events allow them to finish their season on a high, whatever the outcome.
